Description
This tree is on the top of Kukas tunturi in Finnish Lapland. This year the rime ice was all removed by a warm spell and has only just begun to form again. The pine fronds pointing into the prevailing wind have developed delicate frost flowers in about 48 hours. Eventually it will all build up to envelope the tree entirely.
